Politics, literature, philosophy: shaken, not stirred.

About Me

I’m a writer and researcher with a background in languages, politics, and philosophy. I love exploring ideas at the intersection of culture and power, and weaving narratives that challenge the status quo.

After completing my Master's degree in European Studies, I built a 15-year career in EU affairs and interparliamentary cooperation, working both in Malta and at the heart of the European Union in Brussels. Throughout my career, I have supported high-level political meetings, briefed parliamentarians from across the EU, and contributed to the work of major interparliamentary forums.

From 2014 to 2017, I served as Malta’s National Representative to the European Parliament, acting as the parliamentary link between Malta’s House of Representatives and the European institutions in Brussels, and played a key role during Malta's first Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

As Permanent Member of the COSAC Secretariat, I coordinated a multinational team representing the Presidential Troika, advised successive EU Council Presidencies from Bulgaria to Slovenia. My responsibilities included coordinating the Secretariat's work, supporting the organisation of COSAC meetings, and drafting reports, conclusions, agendas, and other key documents.

One of my most notable achievements was modernising the presentation of COSAC's Bi-annual Report by introducing innovative audiovisual presentations, which received praise from senior European Parliament leaders, including then First Vice-Presidents Mairead McGuinness and Roberta Metsola.

My career has allowed me to work closely with political leaders, diplomats, academics, and parliamentarians from across Europe, giving me extensive experience in European policymaking, international cooperation, leadership, and strategic communication.

My articles and essays have appeared in various journals and magazines. My short stories, novels and plays have won several literary competitions and received critical acclaim.

Having lived, studied, and worked across five countries, I have developed a naturally international outlook, shaped by different languages, cultures, and political environments.
